Roxanne Francois: Owner of J'adore Mama
Roxanne launched J'adore Mama in 2014 following years of studying and research, professional and personal experience in maternity and aromatherapy and a passion for supporting and encouraging an enjoyable pregnancy, birth and the early weeks with your new baby.
Following the birth of my first child Theo in 2009 I studied a pre University course in Nursing, Midwifery and Health related studies in the UK before being offered 1 of 24 places from 800 applicants onto the BA(Hons) Midwifery degree with UCLAN in 2011.
I trained as a midwife for 12 months, delivered 8 babies and worked with some wonderful, inspiring health professionals. Working within an obstetric and highly medicalised trust increased my passion and determination to promote normality and encourage women to enjoy their pregnancy and childbirth even more. Here I took a career diversion to train as an aromatherapist specialising in pregnancy, childbirth, new mummy’s and their baby's.
Over the years I have trained as an aromatherapist with additional training in pregnancy, infant massage & natural remedies. During this time I gave birth to my second child Annie-Rose in 2013, a home water birth using aromatherapy essential oils throughout my pregnancy and during my labour.
Meeting women at the start of their second trimester, providing treatment, therapy and supporting them throughout their pregnancy, birth and the early weeks is extremely rewarding and a privilege. Therefore I decided to introduce baby massage and baby yoga to continue the support and guidance, ensuring baby can experience the benefits of touch and communication from the start.
J'adore Mama enables me to promote my passion and encourage a happy, healthy and enjoyable pregnancy, birth and early months with your new addition. I hope I can help you to achieve optimum well-being during a very exciting and special time.
